May 2011
Hey folks! May is here…like any other month! And it’s time for me to spiel off at the mouth again! I cannot help but begin by telling you that I am still a star – and a most loveable one at that! For those of you who frequent our Georgia CafĂ© and hotel lobby lounge area, you may have seen me lately…looking just a tad proud and relaxed as I have been soaking in the love and adoration of so many wonderful children around here! Where have they all come from?! Today, I could have sworn I felt the lights, camera and action in full swing as a group of people crowded around my bed and water bowl to oooo and awe at the scene me and the little toddler girl were creating together. Actually, I’m not really sure who was the shining star in that moment…but as she kissed my face, our movie was definitely a hit! A team effort, I think!
Okay – now that we got ME out of the way, I guess it’s part of my duties here as Ambassador of the Sidney Pier Hotel and Spa to let you all know what’s brewing in May!
Did someone say “food”? My sniffer is working overtime and my genius ears have caught on to the upcoming array of food festivities at Haro’s this Sunday in honor of mothers – EVERYWHERE! Hey! Wait a minute! I know my father is still down south basking in the California sun, but did anyone ever tell me where my mom ended up? If someone could jog my memory, it would be really helpful as I certainly don’t want to end up in the "dog house" with my mom! That wouldn’t be good! Ma, if you’re out there, you’re invited to feast away at the Mother’s Day Sunday Brunch, this Sunday, May 8, officially Mother’s Day, on the human calendar anyway!
And wait Mom! You’re also invited to the wonderful pampering Haven Spa to have your nails done (you can bring my sister if you want as the promo is meant for two to share) and then you can enjoy a sweet lunch in the relaxing sanctuary with a Bento Box and maybe even a dog bone or two…just for YOU!
Seems May is all about food….at the Sidney Pier Hotel! They tell me you can eat a three course meal for just $39. Wow! Thirty-nine dollars…wonder how many meaty dog bones that would get me?!
